How to make a lesson plan for an active toddler?

Teaching your active toddler this February is not as hard as you think, I’ve designed a unique and engaging monthly lesson plan for my 2.5- to 3-year-old toddler. Covering a broad spectrum of subjects from Islam and mathematics to marine biology and philosophy, this plan introduces exciting topics in a way that is both age-appropriate and captivating. Let me take you through the structure of this plan and the reasoning behind it, so you can adapt it for your little one too.

Why Teach “Difficult” Subjects to a Toddler?

You might wondering how will you teach your active toddler these difficult subjects as I’ve included subjects like philosophy, economics, or marine biology for such a young age group. The reasoning stems from educational philosophies like the Montessori method and theories such as Bloom’s Taxonomy. These frameworks highlight how young children possess an “absorbent mind,” capable of understanding complex concepts when taught through relatable and hands-on activities.

By introducing diverse subjects, we encourage toddlers to think critically, explore creatively, and form connections between ideas. The result? A well-rounded foundation for lifelong learning.
